Deleting your account
You can delete your Sourceteller account and all of its data at any time. This page explains what happens and how to do it.
Last updated 14 September 2026
How to delete your account
- Sign in at sourceteller.com/admin.
- Open Account in the left sidebar.
- Choose Delete account and confirm. Deletion is immediate.
If you can no longer sign in, email support@sourceteller.com from the address on the account. We will verify ownership and delete it for you within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account and profile
- Every workspace you own, and its settings
- All uploaded documents and the search index built from them
- All conversations and messages, including the transcripts and caller numbers of phone calls. Call audio is never recorded in the first place
- Usage history, statistics and billing ledgers
- Widget keys and connected channels, which stop working at once
What is kept, and for how long
Payment and invoice records are retained for up to 7 years where tax and accounting law requires it. These contain the transaction and the billing name only — never your documents or conversations.
Encrypted backups can hold residual copies for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten on their normal rotation.
Everything else is removed immediately when you confirm.
Before you delete
- Unused credits and parse pages are forfeited. They cannot be refunded, withdrawn or transferred, and cannot be reclaimed afterwards.
- Your workspace name is released and may be claimed by someone else.
- Download anything you need first. Documents cannot be recovered once deleted.
